The wind blows and you do not hear
The words of a love song

Take the thorn out of my heart so I might see you
Letting it overflow with weakness

As you solicit my ears with words I cannot understand
Of a language I've forgotten and is now dead to me

I wish I could still feel the warmth of your touch
Your breath on my neck

But I am uncertain and torn
When I want nothing more than to pull away
You give testimony and truth

Opening my eyes again
I can see you
